I do not make patches

I ONLY DO DIRECT EMBROIDERY TO GARMENT

Direct Embroidery has a  look and feel that is timeless. It has a unique luster that just  cannot be found in other forms of decoration. An embroidered logo  can instantly add value and prestige to a garment. Most importantly, the professional appearance of embroidery will help reinforce your corporate identity.

Embroidery Location

Where would you like your embroidery?

  • Left chest logos: The most common type of embroidery. Usually around 3.5” wide, sewn on the upper chest area of the garment over the heart.
  • Right chest logos: Usually embroidered in addition to the left chest design. A great place to put a name.
  • Full back and full front logos: Around 10” wide, sewn on jacket backs or the front of a sweatshirt.
  • Sleeve and collar logos: Subtle accents that are popular with sport shirts as a way of adding a sponsors name. The sleeve also makes a great place to add your company’s  website.
  • Front of the cap: Our most common type of embroidery, we can go up to 3”H x 5”W
  • Back of cap: A great place to put a website, slogan or name.

Consider other highly noticeable garment locations for a unique logo/artwork placement

Estimating Stitch Count

Other points to remember when estimating stitch count

  • 1 solid inch of embroidery equals approximately 2,000 stitches
  • 1 solid 1/4 inch of embroidery will equal about 125 stitches
  • Straight lines under logos typically equal 200 stitches per inch
  • Extra underlay, fill stitches, outlines and density will all add stitched to a design
  • Artwork details will affect the amount of stitches

The precise cost can only be determined when the actual artwork is provided.

Embroidery Care

Frequently Asked Questions

Embroidery Care

 Home laundering

  • All embroidered garments should be washed with a mild detergent
  • Do  not use chlorine bleach or optical brightening agents. If bleach is required for washing, Non-chlorine bleach in accordance with product  instructions is preferable
  • Machine wash in cold water, delicate wash cycle preferred
  • If color residue appears in water, rinse in lukewarm water, then cold several times
  • Remove promptly after wash cycle completion
  • Never leave embroidered clothing soaking or in water or lying in a pile when wet
  • Do not wring out the embroidered articles
  • Do not rub stained embroidery

Dry cleaning

  • Embroidery  may be dry cleaned, however, extreme care should be exercised when dry  cleaning. Special care must be taken when dark shades are dry cleaned. Avoid use of pre-spotting agents.

Ironing

  • Embroidered fabrics should always be ironed on the reverse side
  • It is recommended to iron embroidery between two pieces of cloth
  • It is not recommended to wet embroidery prior to ironing or to use a steam iron

Note: Normally the care label instructions pertain to the garment, not the embroidery. Special care should be taken when laundering embroidered  garments. Since the conditions of use, washing, pressing and cleaning,  etc. vary in use of yarns and threads, the purchaser should assure  himself by preliminary tests that the dye fastness of the yarn or thread  is 100% colorfast to washing under all conditions. We  cannot be responsible for any consequential damages since the value of  the thread is so disproportionate to the value of the goods into which  it is stitched.
